How to Enroll for the smiONE Visa Prepaid Card
There are two ways in which you can apply for a smiONE Card. They include:

Applying Online (For Texans)
You can sign up for a smiONE Visa Prepaid Card through your profile on the Child Support Interactive (CSI) platform. You can access your child support account by visiting www.childsupport.oag.state.tx.us

Via the Telephone
You need to call the Texas State Disbursement Unit on (800) 252-8014 for help on getting a smiONE Card. Kindly note that you’ll be asked to confirm your identity. This can be in the form of disclosing some vital details regarding your account.
Activating Your Card
Once you’ve received your card, you’ll need to activate it first before it can be active. To do this, simply call the number at the back of your card and follow the prompts. Also, you’ll need to create a personal identification number (PIN) which you’ll be using for subsequent transactions done with the card.

smiONE Card Login Guidelines
Visit www.smionecard.com to login to your account. While on the page, select your card’s first 4 digits type then click on the “Activate card or Access Your Account” to proceed. Enter your username and password on the next page and click on the “Login” button to access your account.
If this is your first time visiting the site, click on the “New User? Register” link instead. Upon clicking on the link, you’ll be redirected to a new page where you’re required to enter the last 4 digits of your card, zip code, and expiration date, etc to create a new account. Also, you’re required to add two security questions in order to secure your account.
Where can i load money on my SmiONE card?
You can add money to your smiONE card via the following means:
- Via Direct Deposit
- Merchant services (MoneyGram, WesternUnion, and VISA ReadyLink).
Additionally, you can send your Tax Refund money to your smiONE Visa Prepaid Card. However, you’ll need to add both your Routine Number and Account Number in your tax return form.
- Routine Number: 031101169
- Account Number: Enter the DDA number associated with your card.
Wait a minute! Make sure the tax refund is in your NAME otherwise it won’t be accepted.
PS: You can not use the “merchant services” mode on the Texas Payment Card program.
How to Check Your Balance
You can check your Card Balance online when you log in to your account at www.smionecard.com. Additionally, you can also check your balance or account activity at the ATM (Although charges may apply — check your cardholder agreements). If you’re the type that likes talking to a live person for clarity purposes, you can also call the Customer Service number at the back of the SmiONE card to speak with a customer service representative.

Am I required to open a bank account in order to get a smiONE card?
Absolutely no, you do not need to open a bank account before you can own a smiONE Visa Prepaid Card. The card is a prepaid card meaning you have to load it with cash before it can be used to make purchases. It is not a credit card.
Are there fees associated with using the smiONE Visa Prepaid Card?

Can I add another Cardholder?
