The Pennsylvania State Collection and Disbursement Unit (PA SCDU) is charged with the disbursement of child support funds to eligible parents in the state of Pennsylvania.

There are two ways in which you can receive your PA child support payments in the state of Pennsylvania. You can either have your payments sent to the EPPICard Debit MasterCard or directly deposited into a personal bank account.

The EPPICard PA initiative is being implemented by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in order to make accessing your PA child support payments more quickly and safely.

The card can be used just like a normal debit card. However, the major difference between the duo is that you can not load cash into the PA EPPICard.

What is an EPPICard PA Debit MasterCard® Card?

The EPPICard PA is a new way to receive your PA child support payments. Funds are processed first before they are being sent electronically into your EPPICard account.

Once your card has been loaded with funds, you can use it to make payments anywhere MasterCard is accepted such as convenient stores, gas stations, theaters, ATMs etc.

However, you’ll need to set a personal identification number to activate your card before it can be used.

How do I activate my Pennsylvania EPPICard?

Simply call the EPPICard PA customer service at 1-800-304-1669 to activate your card. You can also locate the EPPICard PA phone number at the back of your card.

Once your card has been activated, you can now start using it to withdraw cash and make purchases. You can check your EPPICard PA balance either by calling the customer service at 1-800-304-1669 or by logging in to your account online at www.eppicard.com

How Can I Login To EPPICard PA?

You can log in to your PA EPPICard account on www.eppicard.com. Simply enter your User ID and password in their respective fields to login to your account. You can manage your EPPICard online once you’ve signed in to your account. Actions you can perform online includes;

  • View your available balance
  • Change your personal identification number (PIN)
  • Check your transaction history

Using Your EPPICard PA

You can only use your Pennsylvania EPPICard once there is money loaded in it. The card is very convenient to use when compared with cash or checks.

The Pennsylvania EPPICard can be used at a variety of locations worldwide, thus, giving you access to withdraw cash at over 800,000 ATMs. Also, you get to receive cash back at certain retail stores when you shop with your EPPICard PA.

Making Purchases With Your Card

You’ll need to present your card to merchants when making purchases with your card. Your card will be charged and purchase will automatically be deducted from your account.

Withdrawing Cash From Your Card

There are three ways in which you can draw cash from your card. They include:

  • At ATMs worldwide displaying the MasterCard®, Cirrus® or Maestro® logo. ATM withdrawals come with surcharge fee if drawn outside Wachovia Bank ATMs.
  • From a Teller at a Bank bearing the MasterCard logo. You won’t be charged any fee when you withdraw cash at a bank teller displaying the MasterCard logo.
  • Cash Back on a Purchase made at merchant locations where Maestro® is accepted. Many convenient stores nationwide where Maestro® is accepted gives cash back for qualifying purchase made with your card.

When Do I Call The EPPICard PA Customer Service?

You should call the customer service when you want to perform the below actions;

  • Change your card PIN
  • Report an issue concerning your card
  • View your available balance
  • Discuss internaltional card use
  • Check your transaction history
  • Report your lost/stolen card.

Setting Up Direct Deposit For PA Child Support

First, you need to obtain forms to set up an EFT account by contacting Pennsylvania State Collection and Disbursement Unit (PA SCDU) at 1-877-727-7238. To set up Direct Deposit, you must:

  • Have either a savings or checking account.
  • Have the Section 2 of the EFT form completed by your bank.
