Avant Credit Card Reviews: Application, Login, Activate & Make Payments on Your Card
Although there aren’t much of a benefit (i.e. miles, perks, cashback rewards, etc) associated with the Avant credit card when compared with other alternatives out there. It is the ideal card if to go for if you’re looking for a good credit card to build or rebuild your credit on.
The AvantCard is a not a secured credit card, meaning you’re not required to deposit some funds which serves as a form of collateral on the account.
Also, I’ll like to tell you that the Avant credit card isn’t available in Vermont, Colorado, Iowa, West Virginia & Wisconsin. So if you reside in any of these states, I’m afraid you’re ineligible to apply for an Avant card. Going further, the Avant credit card has an annual fee of $29, and is being issued by WebBank, which is a member of the FDIC.

AvantCard Credit Card: All You Need To Know
First, the Avantcard is an unsecured credit card; no payment is required beforehand to use the card. Secondly, the card is provided by Avant, a Chicago based company whose priority is to make loans accessible to people within the shortest timeframe.
As a rule, you’ll usually undergo a pre-qualification stage — although this doesn’t affect your credit score, in order to know if you qualify for the card or not. Also, take note that Avant reports to the three major credit bureaus — TransUnion, Equifax and Experian. Therefore, all your activities will be monitored and sent to the credit bureaus. This is good news, since you’re hoping to build your credit. All you need is to make sure you’re paying your monthly balance on time.
The Avantcard is a MasterCard, meaning that you can use the card anywhere you see the MasterCard logo all the world. This is particularly useful for the globetrotters, since MasterCard is a global brand, the possibility of your card not recognized/accepted is zero to none.
Furthermore, Avant makes use of your credit profile, and the state law of the state where you reside to determine your credit limit. Certainly, this will increase naturally in as much as you make your monthly payments on time.
The card doesn’t come with many benefits like the common ones you see in other credit cards out there, but the fact that it has no penalty APR makes a reasonable compensation.
The Avantcard current purchase APR of 25.74% Variable is pretty high, but I guess they made this move since they’re targeting those new in the credit world.
Also, the fact that the Avant credit card has a fixed due date is another deal breaker for me, because it just shows the lack of flexibility that comes with the card.
While the Avantcard have no penalty APR, it does have a late penalty fee of up to $35. Furthermore, the card’s credit limit ranges from $300 and $1,000, depending on your credit profile.
Generally, customers have had a positive experience with the Avant credit card. Below is a customer’s comment on the Avant website:
Avant made me feel like a valued customer and I feel empowered to chart my own path after receiving my loan through Avant. Many many thanks.
